this is the first sample of an engineer jacket made to check fitment and construction. further adjustments are being made to the pattern before i can offer this jacket as a made-to-order piece, but this one is available for you to purchase now. made from 100% cotton 10oz. herringbone twill. 4 pockets, collarless neckline, two piece sleeves. this sample has darts sewn into the back of the sleeves which were necessary to make the sleeves fit the armhole. these darts are going to be removed in the final version of the engineer jacket, however this makes the top of the sleeves on this jacket roomier than they will be in the final version. sleeve cuffs are secured with heavy duty ykk snap buttons. buttonholes are sewn with greist no.10 buttonhole attachment on Juki straight stitch machine. hand-set high quality 2-prong buttons.
i made this jacket with the last of my stock of herringbone twill, which i don't plan to restock at the moment, so if you like this jacket in herringbone twill now is your chance. price reflects this being the first sample of an engineer jacket i have made, since further adjustments will be made to the pattern for future versions.
