duck canvas messenger bag with adjustable strap. reworked from a vintage military duffel bag. original hardware kept intact. the material is a very thick cotton duck canvas, my guess is 16-18oz.Ā
5 pockets including main compartment, hidden welt pocket, and pen pocket. small buttoning pocket on front. snap buttoning flap pocket and pen pocket underneath bag flap. pocket flaps and bag flap are secured shut with heavy duty metal snap buttons. backpack straps from the original bag have been reconfigured using the original hardware to make an adjustable messenger bag strap.
darning repair on the pocket is original from when i acquired the bag and shows how much use the original bag saw.
bag is unlined and the interior seams are unfinished, meaning they may fray a little bit from use. this is a purposeful choice i made because that is how the original duffel bag was constructed. the canvas is very heavy duty and tightly woven, if it was good enough for military purposes it will hold up great for your purposes.
